A short break coming and then it gets really busy...with the upcoming Thanksgiving Break, there won't be that much action coming next week.  However, following the break, look out!  Every sports team gets into full swing.

  • Cadet Girls ready for action
    • After already scrimmaging last weekend in Mason City, the varsity girls open Monday night down in Guttenberg as they take on the Clayton Ridge Eagles. The varsity girls will play after the JV game which begins at 6:15 p.m.
    • The girls aren't home until Dec. 5 vs. WSR
  • Cadet Boys just getting started
    • The boys started practice a week later and have just completed their first week of practice. They will have a scrimmage over the Thanksgiving break and they start action on Dec. 3. They won't be home until they host Sumner-Fredericksburg on Saturday, Dec. 7.
  • Wrestlers finish first week
    • The wrestling squad is just underway as well. Within the next two weeks they will be settling into some potential weight classes and having some wrestle-offs in the room. The first look at the boys in action will be a home quad on Dec. 6 - start time is 6:00 p.m. with Nashua-Plainfield, Northwood-Kensett, and Turkey Valley.
As winter rolls into Northeast Iowa...continue to look at the following sources for postponements, cancellations, and schedule changes:
  • my twitter connection
  • northeastiaconference.org
  • How-Winn calendar online
  • KCZQ
  • TPD
  • daily announcements at school
  • weekly posts such as this
For your holiday shopping...I still have a large supply of Crestwood Cadet Garden Flags, and the price has been reduced... $15 for one or two for $25. They can be purchased at any home event or at the high school principal's office.

I look forward to seeing large, enthusiastic crowds at all Crestwood sporting events!!
