Crestwood Secondary School Video

A HUGE THANK YOU TO JORDYN JOHNSTON, KALEB MCLAIN, AND RACHEL STIKA FOR DEVELOPING THIS GREAT VIDEO FOR CRESTWOOD SECONDARY SCHOOL!

Oelwein SWAT
Crestwood students had a chance to talk with students at Oelwein to learn more about their  SWAT team this week.  Via Google Hangout, interested Crestwood students learned how the Oelwein SWAT team is assisting with technology in the Oelwein Community School District.  The SWAT Team is a hands-on study of technology integration in an educational context. In addition to solving problems for their classmates and teachers, students complete projects which increase their own technology knowledge and address problems or solutions in educational technology integration.

PowerSchool - YES!
PowerSchool was approved by the Howard-Winn School Board to replace JMC this week.  Full implementation of PowerSchool will occur for the 2015-16 school year.  The upcoming year will include PowerSchool trainings for staff and data conversion from JMC.

Special thanks to the time spent by Howard-Winn staff investigating this new data management system.  The group included Darla Vokaty, Linda Middlebrook, Michelle Bakken, Heather Klenke, Trisha Hartman, Cheryl Dickman, Shirley Sovereign, Brenda Knobloch, Nick Ferrie, Deb Obermann, and Tanya Riehle.
