Jurgensen August 29, 2014

Terese Jurgensen (Mrs. J.)

Principal 2-6;

Director of Special Education

Student Centered
We have had a great second week of school!  I have had the opportunity to meet many of our students and see learning in action throughout our district.  I am so impressed with our innovative classrooms that are student centered, interactive, colorful and fun environments to learn in. I am enjoying working with our excellent teachers and their collaboration for student learning.

Words of Wisdom
Our 4th graders at Lime Springs created greeting cards for me with words of advice as their principal. I loved them all and wanted to share a few:
“Never be strict with kids….P.S. Don’t take this the wrong way!”
“Welcome to the school Mrs. J!!!! Have a good time here at the best school ever!”

After School Dismissal
A letter will soon be sent home with your children regarding after school dismissal.  Student safety is always a top priority.  To ensure that all students get out of the building in an orderly fashion and students get to their bus on time, we would like to make sure our entryway is open and clear for easy student passage.  Parents/Caregivers, we are requesting that you meet/pick-up your child outside as the classroom teacher escorts their students out of the building. To avoid congestion in the hallways, we are also asking junior high students to wait in the cafeteria to meet with their siblings.  When inclement weather arrives, we will provide a location for parents in the cafeteria. Be looking for the detailed letter that will be sent home with your children.  Thank you so much for your help and cooperation in this important matter!
