Terese Jurgensen - Dare to Dream!

Dare to Dream!
Terese Jurgensen (Mrs. J.)
Principal 2-6;

Director of Special Education

I am so honored to be the Elementary Principal for grades 2nd-6th and the Director of Special Education for the Howard-Winneshiek CSD. I arrived on August 1st with my daughter, Emily, who is a sophomore at Crestwood High School. I have been amazed and impressed by the enthusiasm, positive attitude, energy and creativity of every member of our school staff and the welcoming communities of Cresco and Lime Springs.  This a dream come true for me and it is my goal to serve our district.

New Staff Members:
Pam Jackson: Mrs. Jackson is our new fourth grade instructor, but she is not new to education. She is a highly qualified elementary teacher and has taught fourth grade for several years. She has lived in Cresco for seventeen years and most recently taught at Notre Dame Elementary School for the past nine years. Welcome, Mrs. Jackson!

Jessica Cummings: Mrs. Cummings is our new elementary special education teacher. Mrs. Cummings has a well-rounded background in teaching both general and students with diverse learning needs. Mrs. Cummings has lived in Cresco for several years and is very excited to be a member of our Crestwood team. Welcome, Mrs. Cummings.

The First Day of School 2014 - 2015
Lime Springs/Chester Elementary staff and students had a wonderful kick-off to the 2014-2015 school year. The students were excited to be at school, and we had an excellent day! The teaching and associate staff are a strong, collaborative working relationship. The focus of the first day of school was to build positive relationships with students, reviewing and practicing the PBIS expectations throughout the building and facilitating team building and problem solving utilizing Iowa Core reading strategies.

Our 4th grade students listen attentively and learn PBIS
cafeteria expectations to have a safe and happy lunch together!
