ENCOURAGING FUTURE CADETS: THE CLASS OF 2015 being honored at the Howard-Winn K-8 campus Thursday!  

2014-15 Howard-Winneshiek 
The CADETS are running hard towards the end of the 2014-15 school year.  In grades K-12, students are taking tests, sharing projects, celebrating accomplishments, bringing the year to an end.  

During 2014-15 students have shared their passions and creativity.  It is AMAZING to see!

In the classroom or on the field of competition, CADETS have achieved! 

The Annual Massed Band Festival 2015
The CADET Instrumental Department Massed Band Festival was FANTASTIC! Featured performances from the 5th grade Band, 6th grade Band, the Crestwood Junior High Concert Band, and the Crestwood High School Symphonic Band provided a wonderful evening of music. This was a special night!

Fighting Hunger in NE IOWA and the World! 

A BIG THANK YOU to students and staff who participated in the "Change War" last week. Change will be collected through Friday, May 17 with the classroom "winners" announced Monday, May 20.  

All funds donated go to this fall's 5th grade "Inspire Education Day" meal packaging at the

Borlaug Farm and the Norman Borlaug Harvest Fest Meal Packaging event.  Last year over 130,000 meals were packaged.  This year the goal is 200,000 meal. 

New Resource Joins TEAM Howard-Winn! 
This fall Denise Headington will join the Howard-Winn TEAM and will serve as the District Social Worker. This position is specifically made possible by Modified Allowable Growth (MAG) and At Risk funding.  

Mrs. Headington will be tasked with supporting families and will work collaboratively with Howard-Winn staff.  She brings many experiences including working for the Iowa Department of Human Services, Lutheran Services in Iowa and Holy Family Catholic Schools Dioceses of Dubuque.

We are EXCITED to have Denise on the TEAM and welcome her to CADET NATION!
