"Rock One Sock" for missing children.
Across this country, children go missing from their parents and loved ones.  May is National Missing Children's Day and CADET NATION supported the cause to find and reunite these kids with their families.  To show solidarity and raise awareness CADETS joined others in wearing one sock, taking a picture and sharing it on Twitter.

2015-16 Celebrations and Graduations!
The 2015-16 school year has been one of achievements and accomplishments! In the classroom, on the stage, or the Athletic field, CADETS have been on the move!

Dollars for Scholars awarded the Class of 2016 over $225,000 in scholarships! Our Seniors are achievers!

The night also included a reunion surprise for senior Baylee Balk. Her sister Breanne, who is in the Air Force and just back from Afghanistan, making the final scholarship presentation!

This was a good night.

2016: Back to School Relationship Building
Howard-Winn will kickoff the 2016-17 school year with Back to School Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, August 23rd.

Howard-Winn is utilizing these conferences to  connect and build meaningful relationships with parents and students before the school year starts.  Kids do better in school when parents are involved in their academic lives. Attending back-to-school conferences is a great way to establish that relationship.

We will build on these relationships by also providing Parent-Teacher conferences in November and again in February.

Meetings between the parents and the teacher also let students know that what goes on in school will be shared at home.  Parents are also encouraged to request meetings with teachers, principals, school counselors, or other school staff at any time during the school year if they have questions or concerns.

First day of student classes is
Wednesday, August 24, 2016

Additional information and details will come from Mr. Rogne, Mrs. Grimm and Mrs. Jurgensen.
