Last Wednesday was Administrative Professional's Day. Here in CADET NATION, the TEAMS in the offices are second to none. Their servant leadership and smiles start our days on the right track. THANK YOU Darla, Janice, Sharon, Linda, and Tanor.  Know we all value and appreciate all you do.

Drake Relay Qualifiers
A BIG SHOUT OUT to Drake Relay qualifiers junior Ellie Friesen for qualifying in the 3,000 meter run and senior Spencer Cuvelier for qualifying in the discus. Good Luck in Des Moines!

Time of Change
So much change and transitioning is happening this spring. The superintendent search is moving forward with over 50 applicants. A new superintendent will be named within the next 60 days. With changes in Iowa law and collective bargaining the structure of employment is evolving. The new normal is change.

That being said, change is hard and can be both exciting and scary at the same time. How we choose to view it, scary or exciting, will determine how we move through it. To go through change you have to let go of the past and seek the new.  I know many of you have seen the the video or read the book "Who Moved My cheese?"  It might be good to take some time and view the 16 minute video. Then ask yourself which mouse are you? Him or Haw.

I encourage you all to keep moving forward, have faith all will work out, and do not let negative energy rob you of the beauty and excitement happening. I am blessed to be walking this path with you!

Stadium Update

Next up is the Stadium Lights. The work began on Friday taking down the poles, the new poles should be up in about a week!  The concession stand is starting to come together.

This is a "mock-up" of the banners for the north side of the bleachers.
When completed, there will not be a better facility in NE IOWA!

Folks still seek to learn more about the #2020HowardWinn Story

Last Friday University of Northern Iowa leadership was again on campus.

The focus of the visit was to build relationships and seek ways Howard-Winn and UNI could continue to share.  More on this will come. Good stuff!

Learning at Howard-Winn last week looked like.....
