Junior Financial Aid Night
John Holland, from the Iowa College Access Network presented to Juniors and their parents on Tuesday night.  He also presented to the Sophomore class during the day.
The mission of the Iowa College Access Network (ICAN) is to help prepare students for future success.

ICAN believes that education leads to greater economic prosperity for individual students, their families, and the communities in which they reside.
It is also a belief that all Iowans benefit as more and more students attain their education and career goals through informed decision-making, translating into greater numbers of educated and skilled workers.
To put it simply, more education and job training equals more success for students and for the communities of Iowa. ICAN’s team of student success advisors helped individuals with life-changing decisions pertaining to college choice, college affordability and financial aid, and career exploration.

Evacuation Drill
We practice safety drills throughout the year to help our students know what to do in an emergency.  We regularly practice Fire Drills, Tornado drills and other security drills, including shelter-in-place, bomb threat, and evacuation drills. On Thursday we practiced an evacuation drill.  The school district is working closely with local authorities to correctly implement these procedures.  The goals of the training drills are to improve our ability to protect students, save lives, and reduce injuries.  These practice drills allow us to evaluate our emergency operation plans and improve our response skills. During this drill, all staff and students, K-12, evacuated to East Park.
