Senior Class Survey
Congratulations to the class of 2017, who graduated on Sunday, May 21st. The class consisted of 104 graduates. Each year the senior class is given a survey asking about future plans. The results of the senior survey are below:

Graduates in the class of 2017: 104
Number going to a 4 year college: 40
Number going to a vocational-technical school/community college: 46
Total number of graduates planning to continue their education: 86
Percentage of seniors planning to continue their education: 81.3%
Number attending an Iowa college: 70
Number attending an out-of-state school: 17
Number joining the Armed Forces: 1
Number working or looking for work: 17


Awards Day

The last day of school was Friday, May 26th.  During this time there was awards assemblies for the Junior High and High School. The following are some of the awards that were given at the high school. 



Silver Cord Awards

Juniors who were recognized for volunteering 40, or more, hours this year.

Sophomores who were recognized for volunteering 40, or more, hours this year.

Freshmen who were recognized for volunteering 40, or more, hours this year.


Perfect Attendance Awards


Emma Mannery, Chandler Crouch, and Mackenzie Dietz are juniors 
that had perfect attendance this year





Joseph Kaletka and Destiny Hodges of the sophomore class, had perfect attendance this year.



Hannah Ward, Nicholas Braun, Daniel Lares, Wyatt Curtis, Bryden Juelsgaard, Nik Knobloch, and Dalton Heit are freshmen that had perfect attendance this year.

Back to School Parent-Teacher Conferences and 1st Day

Howard-Winn will kickoff the 2017-18 school year with 
Back to School Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, August 23rd. 

Details on the schedule will be communicated this summer.
