  This is What it's
All About!
Congratulations, Senior Class of 2017! This year, my youngest child, Emily Jael, graduates. As you may know, she and I moved to Cresco because we wanted her to have the high school experience offered by Howard-Winneshiek Community School District. As you can see, pictured here, she loved the Cadet experience, and as a parent, I could not be prouder or more happy for her. The teaching staff that supported Emily, especially during these last few months of her senior year have been wonderful. Opportunities that Emily experienced here were memories she will hold close to her heart forever.  One of my personal favorite memories of this year, was when the senior class who were choir members lined up on the stage and thanked Karen LeFebvre for her impact in their lives. It was a wonderful year, and I know we are looking forward to graduation this Sunday at 2:00.
Seniors walked the halls of the district to celebrate their graduation and also to give younger students a vision of the proud moment when caps and gowns are put on to share their achievement!

PBIS Carnival ~ Crestwood Elementary!

To celebrate POSITIVE BEHAVIORS the PBIS Committee, led by Tiffany McCabe, held an end of the year carnival on May 18th. Great fun was had by all and lots of fun prizes and surprises were won!  Thank you, Mrs. McCabe & the PBIS Committee!

Another important part of the carnival was to have the students vote to have a "Pie in the Face" to a staff member. Naturally, I put my name in the hat because I totally LOVE things like this. As the Director of Student Services, there are not many "fun" opportunities such as these. The students are pictured here playing games and using their Cadet Bucks to vote for their "favorite" (Not sure that is the case) to receive a Pie in the Face! This just came across the email to the elementary staff:
